Importing Square Customers into Ovation

The attached document is written to assist you in effectively manipulating and thoroughly cleaning the data that is exported from the Square Customer Directory into Excel, with the ultimate goal of importing that data into the Ovation system.

It is crucial to understand that only those records which contain both First Names and Phone numbers can be used for import into Ovation. Additionally, it is of utmost importance that all records being imported are categorized in the Marketing Eligibility Section as  Not Eligible for any future marketing efforts, as these customers have not provided their consent to opt-in.

To set expectations accurately, it is important to note that while you may have a total of 234,000 records in your Square data, only approximately 10,000 to 20,000 of those records will possess the necessary data required to qualify for import. This qualifying data specifically includes a first name and a phone number.
